Guided tours

at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum

The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum offers two kinds of tours on the grounds of the memorial site. A general tour and a study tour, both are offered in various languages by guides from the museum. We strongly recommend the groups staying at our centre to book the two-day study tour.

On the first day the group will visit the exhibits of the former camp Auschwitz I and discover the grounds of the so called “Stammlager”. The second day will take you to KL Auschwitz II-Birkenau which is roughly 3km away from the Stammlager. The group will get to know more about living conditions and visits places which stand as a global symbol for the Holocaust.

For the study trip a group should allocate about 8 hours, split into two days.

If your group has only one day at their disposal, we advise to book the tour lasting 6 hours. If desired, you can choose to have a 90 minute break between the guided tours of Auschwitz I and Birkenau.
