Alicja Bartuś, chairwoman of the Foundation
Doctor of political science. Lecturer at the WSB University in Chorzów. She specializes in the field of comparing the mechanisms of crimes of genocide and totalitarian crimes in the 20th century as well as human rights education. Initiator of many projects in the field of historical education for youths. Editor of numerous books, among others Humans and Totalitarianism (2012), Words in the service of hate (2013), Europe facing the challenges of the 21st century (2014), Women of the War (2015), Borders of freedom (2015), Children of the War (2016), Witnesses – between the Victim and the Perpetrator (2017).
Christoph Heubner, vice-chairman of the Foundation
graduated in German literature, history and political science in Marburg and Kassel. Writer and poet, since numerous years working closely with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace. Vice president of the International Auschwitz Committee and member of the International Auschwitz-Council. Linked to the IYMC from its beginnings, Christoph Heubner is one of the initiators of this institution in Oświęcim.
Viktoria Doris Graenert
Economist. Head of the clerical welfare centre in Isny, Germany and lecturer at the Academy for public health related jobs. Member of the expert committee "Nursing in the 90's" of Baden-Württemberg, as well as of the council of experts "Nursing needs elites" of the Robert Bosch Foundation in Stuttgart. Head of the friends' association for the IYMC in Isny. Linked to the house since its creation.
